Saint Andrews
Directed by Erin RamírezCast: Gabrielle Hoo, Marc-Andrew Dixon, Robert Chang, Kathryn Hoo
“Saint Andrews” follows Dee, a fiercely independent Chinese-Jamaican teen from Kingston’s privileged “Uptown”, who secretly crosses into “Downtown” to be with Ray, the Black boyfriend her family would never accept. When her father violently rejects her sister’s own forbidden relationship, Dee realizes her love could cost her everything, including her home. Faced with losing Ray or losing herself, she makes a quiet, irreversible choice, crossing the island’s deepest divides in search of a future that belongs to them alone.
