Cast: Pingying Shi, Jinbao Liu, Jinhan Liu, Yuhua Yin, Zhuying Dai, Shuping Dai, Peifeng Liu, Yu Ren

An elderly couple brings home an unusually round pigeon from the local bird market, carrying it back through town on a small tricycle. At home, the grandmother—who lives with partial paralysis on one side of her body—continues her daily routines with quiet determination. At the card table, she skillfully plays with one hand using a small homemade device that holds her cards, often winning against the other players despite their teasing. Later, she returns home with her husband and prepares for the arrival of her family. On her seventieth birthday, her children and grandchildren gather for dinner, where she insists on cooking pigeon soup herself. As the family reflects on the life of a woman who was once the strongest worker in the village, laughter gradually turns into tears. The night ends with fireworks, marking a fragile moment of warmth, memory, and resilience.
