Living in Uncertainty is a personal documentary that focuses on Younger and Older, two sisters from Texas who begin a dialogue about their uncertain futures as Younger prepares to head to college. Throughout their time in Texas, they had generally avoided talking about their immigration status with each other, going about their lives externally with the delusion that they were legal in the United States. Younger leaving for college out of state becomes a catalyst for several conversations. Living in Uncertainty centers around Younger’s valedictorian speech that was written by Older. Through a series of phone calls, they practice for this valedictorian speech, while recorded conversations between the sisters open the door to how they feel about their undocumented status and how this undocumented status has affected their young adult lives.
