The Ranch of My Dreams

Collective song workshops bring community members from Bloomington, California together to compose songs that honor their disappearing ranchos and beloved farm animals. They protest against the “rats in neckties,” aka hungry warehouse developers and county officials, who have destroyed their community. Developers target their large lot homes, and sellout county supervisors fail to protect them. Bloomington continues to fight for its survival, while the empty land yet to be developed reminds community members of the ongoing struggle.
