THE TALE OF KIEU is an impressionistic film that depicts the lurid memories of a young boy’s escape from war-torn Vietnam. His journey by boat begins in the mangrove forests of the Mekong Delta and ends somewhere out in the Gulf of Thailand where a new fate awaits him.
