Sweat

Mồ Hôi

Directed by Edward Nguyen

Cast: Nguyễn Đức Huy, Lê Cao Sang

On the eve of his departure, Hung, a farm worker, is preparing to illegally cross the border of rural Vietnam in search of refuge abroad. His days have been defined by routine and labour, yet his final day with Hoang, a fellow worker, transforms his understanding of himself and the world around him.

Blending the tranquil beauty of Vietnam’s countryside with the tenderness of the relationships around us, Sweat unveils the multi-faceted nuances and struggles of queerness, displacement, and the nation.
