Directed by Richard DangCast: Mike Dara, Brendan Jacob Vitoria Tan, Eliot Dahan, and Nicco Lorenzo Garcia
Two small-time burglars, Kong and Mars, kidnap Ah Boy, the son of a Cambodian businessman, hoping to extort twenty thousand dollars. Their plan unravels when the boy’s father, Noy, mocks their demands and responds with violence.
As they shelter Ah Boy in their apartment, they discover he is a victim of abuse and struggle with whether to protect him or send him back. When Noy arrives, the clash erupts until Ah Boy confronts his father.
In the aftermath, Kong and Mars offer the boy comfort before Noy takes him home, leaving them with only a twenty-dollar bill and the realization that what they experienced together was worth more than the ransom.
