This documentary is a tribute to Edmund Soohoo, born and raised in LA Chinatown, who spent his life devoted to helping his friends, family and others to preserve and elevate this community which he called home.
After losing his father at an early age, Edmund along with his mom both continued to do all they could to survive the hardships of an isolated community by doing whatever was necessary to ensure their future.
Edmund at the age of 75 passed away suddenly in 2024 and over 20 people who knew him well were interviewed to preserve his legacy. Along with family members, a unique story is pieced together to give insight to what drives a person to selflessly dedicate his life to bringing people together for the community at large.
He had the gift of persuasion and was able to gather people together to present grand ideas and successfully create organizations.
Edmund was a regular guy that influenced and touched the hearts of everyone he encountered. This is a story about dreams and the strong will to survive.
