Ánh Dương Nơi Trời Tận
Directed by Catherine Truc Cam NguyenCast: Nguyen Lam Thao Tam, Cong Duong, Viet Huong
Renowned Vietnamese American photographer Lyn, deeply immersed in the world of social media, travels with her boyfriend, Theodore, to a secluded inn in Vietnam’s countryside, seeking inspiration for her upcoming MoMA exhibition. During a sunset boat ride with the inn’s owner, Kim, Lyn stumbles upon an abandoned baby boy by the canal. Despite Theodore’s objections, she impulsively takes the child in—seeing not just a helpless infant, but the heart of her next project.
The following morning, Lyn shares a photo of the baby online, teasing a bold new artistic direction. The post explodes, drawing widespread praise but also fierce criticism questioning her ethics and intentions. As the debate intensifies, media scrutiny follows, and MoMA suspends her exhibition, leaving Lyn’s career and credibility in free fall.
As her professional and online world unravels, Lyn is forced to confront what truly matters—her art, her ambitions, and the deep, unexpected bond she has formed with the child. But as the pressure intensifies, she must make an impossible choice: hold onto the life she’s built or do what’s right for the baby, even if it means letting go.
