In the studio of a well-known director, female actors audition for the role of Scheherazade in “A Thousand and One Nights”. But the women gradually realize that the director has more in mind than just casting the leading role. Auditioning for this dream role becomes a nightmare in this form-blurring thriller that explores the abuse of power and the complexities and horror that many experience not only in the film business but in many more mundane spaces.
Film Content Advisory: Contains themes of sexual abuse, coercion, and psychological distress related to power dynamics in an audition setting; viewer discretion advised.
