THE BOXER AND THE ASTRONAUT

After a car accident leaves Ronny, a boxer, paralyzed, his wife leaves him for another man. Ronny lives with his 9-year-old son Lean, who wants to become an astronaut. Lean desperately wants to be reunited with his mother.

Lean asks Ronny if his mother will come back if he can walk again. Ronny lies, saying she will. After months of recovery, Ronny is able to walk again on his own. Lean asks if his mother will come back now. Ronny struggles to find the words, but Lean realizes the painful truth. She’s gone for good.
