STAYING PUT: STORIES OF CHINATOWN’S RESISTANCE

This short documentary focuses on the ways in which the residents of Philadelphia’s Chinatown have organized and introduces the construction of Eastern Tower Community Center, which is being built in hopes of creating a vital shared community space. This film includes original footage from John Lum’s Save Chinatown (1973). Staying Put was produced as part of Scribe Video Center’s Precious Places Community History project.
