The UndocuCinema shorts program features films by members from the Undocumented Filmmakers Collective, showcasing a diverse range of narratives, both beautifully uplifting and tragically traumatizing on a collective common subject: the immigrant experience. These stories normalize what it means to be undocumented in an era of an uncertain political climate that is constantly placing labels on a community of everyday people. We are not these sad narratives that the media attempts to portray us, but are virtuous, everyday people who are also creators in this industry of filmmaking. — Paolo Rein
