Armed With a Camera vol. 2020: Visual Communications is proud to debut the projects from this year’s Armed With Camera (AWC) Fellowship, a program founded to guide the next generation of Asian American and Pacific Islander artists to connect communities through the power of our stories.
C3:CONVERSE: This year, our C3:Conference for Creative Content will become C3:CONVERSE – a virtual space for creators to conversate and celebrate each other. Connect with us throughout the Festival and engage in artists conversations and panel discussions via Zoom. Additionally, join us every Saturday in October at 12pm for a C3:CONVERSE series in partnership with the Asian American Documentary Network (A•DOC) and David Magdael & Associates.
Digital Histories 2020: Always a must-see at LAAPFF, the Digital Histories world premieres center the unique voices and perspectives of older adults, and proudly shares their stories with the generations to come.
HBO APA Visionaries 2020: In a unique filmmaker support initiative between Visual Communications and HBO, we present the winning entries from the HBO APA Visionaries Short Film Competition, in which Asian Pacific American artists bring to light their worlds, their visions, and their voices.
