WHEN WE WALK, the follow-up to the 2013 Emmy Award winning documentary WHEN I WALK, powerfully tells director Jason DaSilva’s emotional story as he fights both personal issues and a broken US medical system. Filmed as a letter to his son, WHEN WE WALK fearlessly shows DaSilva’s resilience to the ableism that surrounds him as he copes with multiple sclerosis, the break-up of his marriage, and a long-distance separation from his son, using the language DaSilva seems most comfortable with: the language of film. — Jeremy Aguilera-Gaudette
