SPEAKING WITH THE ANCESTORS

Deborah is a California Supreme court Judge. She has spent several years teaching Šmuwič to members in her community. She is working to preserve her language in song. After ups and downs, Deborah hopes she has taught enough people to keep Šmuwič from going dormant.
