NURSE UNSEEN

Directed by Michele Josue

Filmmakers in attendance. Film program will be followed by Q&A.

We are grateful for the Nurses who helped us get through that past few years of medical crisis. This year we are proud to present the LA premiere of NURSE UNSEEN as a way to celebrate National Nurses Week (traditionally celebrated from May 6 to May 12). NURSE UNSEEN, explores the little-known history and humanity of the unsung Filipino nurses risking their lives on the frontlines of a pandemic, thousands of miles from home. The film unearths the colonial ties between the Philippines and the United States that have led to Filipino-American nurses becoming the unknown backbone of the United States health industry. NURSE UNSEEN is directed by Emmy award-winning Filipino-American director, Michele Josue.
