Welcome to the 38th edition of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival!

Dear Festival Artists and Guests,

Visual Communications is proud to present works by artists who shift narratives, and stories that intersect and converge movements.  After adapting to virtual and hybrid presentations, the Festival returns to connect our artists and communities in person this Spring.  

As the Festival continues its renewal and evolution, our Values are focused on building spaces to celebrate artists who create impact and push forward towards accountability.   From traditionally showcasing a singular film on Opening and Closing night, this year’s Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival eschews that practice as we present programs that reflect the spectrum of our stories.  Centering the work that Visual Communications have done for over five decades, we proudly share our legacy through the works of emerging voices (Armed With A Camera) and our beloved elders (Digital Histories), along with the VC Archives.

Come together with us as we recognize the works of more than 180 filmmakers. We are grateful for these storytellers who believe in the power of media to build and connect communities. We are thankful to these creative communities for utilizing their powers to amplify change.
